Scientific Description:
Stems ascending to erect, frequently branched, 10−30 cm. Leaves lanceolate to very narrowly elliptic-lanceolate, acute. Inflorescence usually many-flowered. Bracts with broad scarious margins. Petals slightly longer than to 2 × longer than the sepals, blue or white. Stamens 10. Capsule ovoid, equalling or exceeding the sepals.
Flowering time: March−June.
Habitat: Banks, meadows, slopes, s.l.−1200 m.

Public Description:
Moenchia mantica subsp. mantica, common name “dördüzotu” in Turkish, is distributed in Türkiye, Italy, the Balkans, Middle Europe and Romania. It is an annual herb which grow up to 30 cm in length, with white or blue flowers. It blooms between March and June, and is usually found in shores, meadows and slopes.
