Scientific Description:

Slender, 8−40 cm, annual. Leaves alternate, linear, acute, minutely scabridulous, 1−2 cm. Cyme lax, with flowers all manifestly pedicellate and not overtopped by the adjacent leaves. Sepals ovate, long-acuminate, glandular-margined, 4−6 mm. Petals 6−7 mm, free, yellow. Capsule 2.5−3 mm.

 

Flowering time: AprilMay.

Habitat: Pinus brutia Ten. forest, rocky hillsides, grassy places, s.l.−650 m.

Public Description:

Linum corymbulosum, common name “koru keteni” (in Turkish), distributed in South Europe, Mediterranean region, Canary Islands, East Africa, Afghanistan, India and West Pakistan. It is an annual herb reaches up to 50 cm with yellow flowers. It can be seen in forest, rocky hillsides, grassy places during spring.
