Scientific Description:
Annual. Stems ± erect, 3−25(−30) cm, sparsely pubescent. Leaves linear to lanceolate, ± acute, sparsely pubescent beneath and on the margins. Inflorescence lax. Bracts herbaceous. Pedicels erect-spreading, longer than the calyces, glandular-pubescent. Sepals lanceolate, 4−5 mm, glandular-pilose, with scarious margins. Petals white, slightly exceeding the sepals, bifid almost to the middle. Capsule teeth flat.
Flowering time: April−July.
Habitat: Meadows, fields, slopes, s.1.−2500 m.

Public Description:
Cerastium dubium, commonly known as “three-styled chickweed” or “doubtful chickweed”, is native to Türkiye, southern Europe and parts of Asia. It is a herbaceous annual plant which has thin-structured, glandular-pubescent stems shorter than 30 cm and linear leaves. It blooms between April and July and is found in meadows, fields, and slopes.
