Turgenia latifolia(L.) Hoffm. - Broadleaf false carrot
Scientific Description:
Stem ± erect, branched, setose or scabrous, 8−60 cm. Leaves setose above and beneath. Petals c. 5 mm, white, pink or purplish. Fruit 10−12 × 3−4 mm, with the whole surface papillose. Spines patent or ascending, c. 1.5−2 mm.
Flowering time: April−June.
Habitat: Waste and cultivated places, s.l.−3000 m.

Public Description:
Turgenia latifolia, known as “broadleaf false carrot”, is native to Europe, Northwest Africa, Southwest Asia, Turkistan, Pakistan and Kashmir. It is an annual herb with tiny white, pink or purplish flowers and spiny fruits, and grows up to 60 cm in length. It blooms between April and June and is found in waste grounds and cultivated places.
