Scientific Description:
Very similar in general appearance to Ruta suaveolens DC. (= Haplophyllum suaveolens (DC.) G. Don), differing chiefly in the broad, flat, apical tubercle of the young ovary segments, and the usually suborbicular and distinctly erose-denticulate sepals.
Flowering time: May−June.
Habitat: Steppe, clay turf and fallow fields, 300−1400 m.

Public Description:
Ruta thesioides, known as “kır sedefotu” in Turkish, is native to Türkiye, South Russia and Crimea. It is a perennial plants with yellow flowers. It blooms May and June, and is found in steppe, clay turf and fallow fields.
