Scientific Description:
Usually branched. Spike lax. Calyx teeth triangular, acuminate, mostly shorter than calyx tube. Corolla white, lavender or purple, 10−12 mm, accrescent to 17 mm, lobes of lower lip rounded.
Flowering Time: May−July.
Habitat: Mostly on Cannabis L., Nicotiana L., Lycopersicon Mill. and Armoracia rusticana P.Gaertn., s.l.−900 m.

Public Description:
Orobanche ramosa, common name “branched broomrape” or “hemp broomrape”, is a parasitic flowering plant, and native to Eurasia and North Africa. These plants, which are without leaves, chlorophyll and usually annual, have flowers in white, lavender or violet colors. The branched broomrape is a pest in agricultural fields, infesting crops including tobacco, potato, and tomato. They can usually be seen in flower between May and July.
