Public Description:

Muscari aucheri, is an endemic species to Türkiye and known as “gök müşkürüm” in Turkish. A large number of small flowers in the sky blue colours are clustered together. It is a perennial plant with bulbs enclosed by pale pink or brown crusted tunics which are 1−3 cm in diameter under the soil. They are used as ornamental plants due to their flamboyant flowers. It grows widely in Türkiye especially in grassy alpine areas over 1000 m. It can be seen in flower between April and June.
