Luzula campestris(L.) DC. - Field wood rush
Scientific Description:
Similar to Luzula multiflora (Ehrh.) Lej. but usually with creeping rhizome; stems single or few together; perianth segments 3−4 mm; anthers 1.5−2.2 mm, 3−6 × filaments.
Flowering time: May−June.
Habitat: Grassland, forests, 1500−2100 m.

Public Description:
Luzula campestris, commonly known as “field wood rush”, is a common plant throughout temperate Europe extending to the Caucasus. It is a perennial herb with clustered dark brown flowers and very conspicuous pale yellow anthers, and grows up to 30 cm in length. It blooms between May and June and is found in grassland and forests.
