Cerastium gracile Dufour - Slender Chickweed
Scientific Description:
Annual. Stems up to 10 cm, dichotomously branched, glandular-pilose. Leaves oblong, glandular-pilose. Inflorescence lax, many-flowered. Bracts herbaceous. Sepals 6 mm, lanceolate, acute, glandular-pilose. Petals glabrous, slightly shorter than the sepals. Pedicels shorter than to as long as the calyx, refracted in fruit. Capsule c. 2 × longer than the sepals, teeth with revolute margins.
Flowering time: May−June.
Habitat: Slopes, up to 2300 m.

Public Description:
Cerastium gracile, known as “slender chickweed”, is distributed in Türkiye, Southern Europe, Romania, Russia and Northwest Africa. It is an annual herb with white flowers and its height reaches to about 10 cm. Its stem shows a bifurcate branching and has rectangular leaves. It blooms between May and June. It is usually found on slopes.
