Scientific Description:
Annual (in ours) herbs with pinnate leaves, simple hairs and yellow or white flowers. Calyx open, not saccate. Petals yellow with a small claw. Filaments without appendages. Ovary cylindrical, 3−many ovulate. Siliqua linear-cylindrical with a prominent beak, each valve distinctly 3−7 veined. Cotyledons longitudinally folded, emarginate at apex.

Public Description:
Sinapis is a genus of annual herbs, known as “charlock”, and is native to Southern Europe, North Africa and Southwestern Asia. There are 6 species in the world and 2 species (2 taxa) in Türkiye. They have pinnate leaves and yellow or white flowers.
