SEDUM L. - STONECROP
Scientific Description:
Annuals, monocarpic biennials arising from a basal rosette, or perennials. Leaves alternate, sometimes crowded, especially on sterile shoots, flat to terete, usually fleshy, often spurred. Inflorescence a few-to many-flowered terminal cyme, corymb, panicle or raceme. Flowers 4−9-merous; petals free; stamens 1−2 × as many as petals; follicles free, several-seeded.

Public Description:
Sedum, known as “stonecrops”, contains annual, biennial or perennial creeping herbs and shrubs, and is distributed throughout the Northern Hemisphere. There are approximately 392 species in the world and 33 species (35 taxa) in Türkiye. Many stoncrops are cultivated as garden plants, due to their interesting and attractive appearance and hardiness.
