Scientific Description:
Ascending or erect annual or perennial, glandular-hairy above; sterile shoots present or absent; flowering shoots 5−15 cm. Leaves linear-subterete, 6−10 mm, glabrous, shortly spurred, on sterile shoots densely alternate-imbricate, on flowering stems more distant and spreading. Inflorescence a 2−4-branched cyme, each branch (2−)4−8-flowered. Flowers 5-merous, subsessile or pedicellate; sepals 1−2 mm, acute or subobtuse; petals white or pale pink with a pink mid-vein, lanceolate, 4−5 mm, erect or widely spreading; stamens 10, anthers purple; follicles usually glandular-hairy, erecto-patent.

Plants annual, sterile shoots absent; petals often ± erect.
Flowering time: June−August.
Habitat: Deciduous forest, on basic rock, s.l.−1900 m.

Public Description:
Sedum pallidum var. pallidum, known as “pale stonecrop”, is distributed in Türkiye and Caucasia. It is ascending or erect annual or perennial herb with white flowers. It blooms between June and August and is found in deciduous forest, on basic rock. It is a plant that covers the floor with small ostentatious leaves. It forms dense clusters and is an excellent ground cover. It is used in rock gardens, flagstone paths, along rock walls or over container edges.
