Public Description:
Scabiosa is a genus of annual or perennial herbs, known as “scabious”, and is native to Africa, Europe and Asia. There are approximately 62 species in the world and 32 species (35 taxa) in Türkiye. This genus has different colored flowers, but the majority are lavender blue, lilac or cream white. Because the flowers are very rich in terms of nectar, they are interesting plants for many insects, especially butterflies and moths.
