Scientific Description:
Small annual herbs. Stems simple or branched from base. Leaves ovate to ovate-lanceolate, lower shortly petiolate, entire or ± undulate, crenate. Flowers in racemes or panicles. Calyx and corolla 5-fid. Corolla rotate or broadly campanulate. Stamens 5, filaments short, anthers free. Style pubescent; stigmas 3, short. Ovary cylindrical, much longer than wide, usually 3-locular. Fruit a capsule, dehiscing by 3 valves near apex. Seeds small, globose to elliptic, brown, shiny.

Public Description:
Legulousia is a genus of annual herbs known as “Venus' looking glass”, and is native to Mediterranean Basin, the Caucasus, Southern Russia, Türkiye and the Middle East. There are 7 species in the world and 4 species (4 taxa) in Türkiye.
