Public Description:
Helianthemum is a genus of shrubs or subshrubs and annual or perennial herbs, known as “rock rose”, “sunrose”, “rushrose”, “longbranch frostweed” or “frostweed”. It is widely distributed throughout the Northern Hemisphere, especially in the Mediterranean. There are approximately 73 species in the world and 16 species (17 taxa) in Türkiye. Due to the flashy flowers in orange, pink, yellow or white tones, some natural species and hybrids are used as ornamental plants.
