Scientific Description:
Annual (in Türkiye) herbs. Stems ± erect, branched, leafy. Leaves linear or oblanceolate, entire or dentate-pinnatifid. Capitula small, heterogamous, shortly ligulate, numerous in panicles. Involucre campanulate; phyllaries 2−3-seriate, imbricate. Receptacle naked. Female flowers numerous, inconspicuous, ligules slightly longer than pappus. Disc flowers fewer, hermaphrodite; corollas tubular, 4−5-lobed. Achenes obovate-oblanceolate, ± compressed. Pappus simple, finely scabrous.

Public Description:
Conyza is a genus of annual or perennial herbs or shrubs, known as “horseweed”, “butterweed”, “hogweed” or “fleabane”, is native to tropical and warm temperate regions throughout the world, and also north into cool temperate regions in North America and eastern Asia. There are approximately 154 species in the world and 3 species (3 taxa) in Türkiye. They are annual or perennial herbaceous plants with flowers which are loosely clustered on each stem.
