Scientific Description:
Annual herb. Leaves 2−3-pinnate, the ultimate segments linear, very evenly arranged. Umbels terminal. Rays 2−5. Bracts 0−1, when present much shorter than the rays. Bracteoles narrow-lanceolate. Petals white or pinkish, minute. Fruit ellipsoid-fusiform, somewhat compressed; primary ridges with a row of hairs or small spines; secondary ridges with longer, patent, hamate spines which are channelled in the plane of the length of the fruit, thus appearing double.

Public Description:
Caucalis is a genus of annual herbs, commonly known as “burr parsley”, and is native to Europe, North Africa, Middle East and Iran. There is only one species in the world and also Türkiye. They have white or pink flowers which are arranged like an umbrella. These plants are used for the treatment of some malignant tumors due to various antioxidants in their contents.
