Scientific Description:
Annual or biennial herbs with simple, furcate and stellate hairs. Leaves pinnate or entire. Sepals not saccate. Petals white or pink. Filaments without appendages. Median honey glands present. Fruit a strongly compressed silicula, obcordate triangular, keeled, dehiscent, many-seeded.

Public Description:
Capsella, known as “shepherd's-purse”, is found in the Central Europe, Asia, and Nortwest America. There are approximately 9 species in the world and 4 species (4 taxa) in Türkiye. They are herbaceous annual and biennial plants which have white or pink flowers.
