Scientific Description:
Erect or ascending perennial, 20−40(−60) cm. Stipules with linear-subulate free portions. Leaflets 0.5−1.2 cm, linear to oblong-lanceolate. Inflorescence ovoid to ovoid-oblong, 1.5−3 cm wide, pedunculate. Calyx cylindrical, becoming campanulate; tube 10-nerved, spreading hairy, in fruit closed by a 2-lipped callosity; teeth subulate, acute, stellate or reflexed in fruit. Corolla white to cream, to 25 mm, c. 2 × as long as the calyx, standard c. 4 mm broad with an attenuated, subacute tip.
Flowering time: June−August.
Habitat: Meadows, forest clearings, steppe, 300−2350 m.

Public Description:
Trifolium elongatum, is an endemic species to Türkiye and known as “helva üçgülü” (in Turkish). Trifolium elongatum is a perennial herbs. The stem can reach a height of about 60 cm. It bears ovoid spike inflorescences of white or cream flowers, about 2.5 cm long, blooming in late Spring and mid Summer. It is found in meadows, forest clearings and steppe.
