Taraxacum macrolepium Schischk. - Kars Çıtlığı (in Turkish)
Scientific Description:
Leaves up to 25 × 6 cm, lobate; side lobes spreading or reversed, ± dentate; terminal lobe dentate, often elongate. Involucre up to 17 mm long; outer phyllaries broadly lanceolate, spreading or reflexed, with a pale margin, without gibbosities. Pollen present. Achenes straw-coloured, 4−4.5 mm (incl. 0.6 mm cone); beak c. 12 mm; pappus white, 8 mm.
Flowering time: April−June(−July).
Habitat: Damp pastures, c. 2150 m.

Public Description:
Taraxacum macrolepium, known as “kars çıtlığı” in Turkish, is distributed in Türkiye, South and West Syria, and Transcaucasica. It is a perennial small herb with yellow flowers. It blooms between April and June and is found in damp pastures.
