Prunella laciniata(L.) L. - Cut-leaved Selfheal
Scientific Description:
Usually shorter than Prunella vulgaris L., from which it differs by narrower leaves, more abundantly hairy, upper usually ± deeply pinnatifid or lyrate; upper lip of calyx distinctly dentate, sinus between lateral and middle tooth more deeply notched; corolla larger, 12−16 mm, creamy-white, rarely lilac or pale blue-violet. Nutlets larger, 2.5 × 1.5 mm.
Flowering time: May−July.
Habitat: Broad−leaved and coniferous forest, meadows, fields, etc., s.l.−1800 m.

Public Description:
Prunella laciniata, known as “cutleaf selfheal”, is native to North Africa, Europe and Southwest Asia. It is a perennial herb with creamy white, rarely lilac or pale blue-violet flowers, and grows up to 40 cm in length. It blooms between May and July and is found in broad-leaved and coniferous forest, meadows, and fields.
