Ornithogalum fimbriatum Willd. - Kirpisakal (in Turkish)
Scientific Description:
Scape obsolete or very short, at most 7 cm, when present usually pilose. Leaves several, exceeding scape, 3−5 mm broad, pilose on lower surface (and sometimes on upper), without a white line on upper surface; margins ciliate. Raceme corymbose, with 4−8 flowers. Perianth segments 11−14 mm, white inside, white with a green fascia outside. Fruiting pedicels sharply deflexed, somewhat thickened at their bases, lower ones 10−20 mm. Capsule narrowly winged.
Flowering time: March−May.
Habitat: Slopes, meadows, macchie, nr s.l.−700 m.

Public Description:
Ornithogalum fimbriatum, known as “kirpisakal” in Turkish, naturally grows in the Balkans and Türkiye. It is a small species and the word "fimbriatum" in its scientific name describes its hairy leaves.
White-colored flowers are on ground level and open in late winter and early spring. It is usually grown on slopes, meadows and machhie.
