Scientific Description:
Resembling Geranium tuberosum L., in its rootstock and basal leaves, but differing in usually having a pair of cauline leaves (with deeply pinnatifid segments) below the first dichotomy, glandular-pubescent pedicels, and beak attenuate into a longer style. A slender plant, with a few-flowered inflorescence.
Flowering time: April−June.
Habitat: Quercus L., Juniperus L., and Cedrus Trew forests, mountain slopes, 500−1900 m.

Public Description:
Geranium macrostylum, known as “turnagagası” in Turkish, is distributed in Türkiye, Greece and Albania. It is a perennial herb with mauve flowers and dissected leaves. It has small tubers under the soil. It blooms between April and June and is found in Quercus L., Juniperus L., and Cedrus L. forests and mountain slopes.
