Scientific Description:
Erect branched perennial, perennating by means of basal leafy rosettes; stems 20−100 cm, terete, long-villous. Leaves narrowly lanceolate to lanceolate, 2−6 × 1−2 cm, pubescent, sparsely so above, denticulate to serrate, sessile with a cuneate base. Inflorescence with glandular and eglandular hairs. Flowers pink; petals 5−8 mm; stigma 4-lobed. Capsule 5−7 cm; seeds obovoid, c. 1 cm, papillose.
Flowering time: May−September.
Habitat: Stream and lake sides, damp places, 100−1750 m.

Public Description:
Epilobium parviflorum, known as “smallflower hairy willowherb”, is naturally distributed in Türkiye, Europe, North Africa, West Asia and India. The specific Latin name of "parviflorum" means "small flowers". It is a perennial herbaceous plant that can grow up to 1 m, with pink-colored flowers. It blooms between May and July and is found on the edges of stream and lake. Extracts of the Smallflower Hairy Willowherb are traditionally used in the treatment of prostate gland, urinary incontinence and kidney diseases, and have antioxidant and antiinflammatory effects.
