THALICTRUM L. - MEADOW-RUE
Scientific Description:
Perennial herbs often rhizomatous. Leaves sheathing, stipulate, basically ternate, the divisions pinnate, bipinnate or ternate. Flowers in panicles or racemes. Perianth uniseriate, the segments (tepals) usually caducous. Stamens numerous. Fruit a group of sessile or stipitate, ribbed, angled or winged achenes.

Public Description:
Thalictrum, commonly known as “meadow-rue”, is native mostly to temperate regions. There are approximately 157 species in the world and 9 species (11 taxa) in Türkiye. They are herbaceous perennial plants with often brightly white, yellow, pink or pale purple flowers. They are usually found in shaded or damp locations.
