PETRORHAGIA Link - CHILDING-PINK
Scientific Description:
Annual or perennial herbs. Leaves narrow. Inflorescence a panicle or capitate. Bracts present or absent, sometimes enclosing the calyx. Calyx ribbed, the ribs (costae) 1−7-veined, with hyaline intervals between the nerves. Petals 5. Stamens 10. Styles 2. Capsule dehiscing by 4 teeth. Seeds dorsiventrally compressed, with facial hilum.

Public Description:
Petrorhagia is a genus of annual or perennial herbs commonly known as "childing-pink" which is mainly native to Mediterranean region, but some species can be found nearly worldwide. There are 19 species in the world and 11 species (12 taxa) in Türkiye. Their flowers are white or pink in colour.
