Scientific Description:
Annuals, hemiparasitic, ± strigose-pilose. Leaves opposite below, usually alternate above, simple, entire. Flowers in bracteate, spike-like, secund racemes. Calyx tubular to tubular-campanulate, 4-toothed, not bilabiate. Corolla bilabiate, yellow or pink; upper lip entire or bifid; lower lip 3-lobed. Stamens 4; anthers glabrous or hairy, mucronate. Capsule ovate-elliptic; seeds several, longitudinally striate.

Public Description:
Odontites, is a genus of annual hemiparasitic herbs, commonly known as “false bartsia”, is native to temperate regions of Europe, Asia and North Africa. There are 11 species in the world and 1 species (1 taxon) in Türkiye. They have yellow or pink flowers.
