KNAUTIA L. - BLUEBUTTONS
Scientific Description:
Annuals or perennials, often setose. Leaves simple to lyrate, rarely pinnatisect. Capitula radiant. Involucral bracts herbaceous. Receptacular bracts small or absent. Calyx cupuliform with 8-many setae. Corolla 4-lobed, cream, yellow, pink or purplish. Involucel 4-ribbed, apex with 2-several teeth.

Public Description:
Knautia is a genus of annual or perennial herbs known as “widow flower” or “bluebuttons”. There are approximately 48 species in the world and 9 species (10 taxa) in Türkiye. The small flowers in cream, yellow, pink or purple colours are found together at the tip of thin branches in a head shape.
