Scientific Description:
Prostrate annual or perennial herbs. Distinguished from Linaria L. by shortly petiolate leaves, at least middle and/or upper ones hastate or sagittate at base, pinnately veined; flowers borne singly in axils of upper (often smaller) leaves; capsule dehiscing (in Türkiye) by 2 large circular lids that fall off (opercula, comprising most of the carpel valves); seeds ellipsoid, alveolate or tuberculate.

Kickxia, is a genus of annual or perennial herbs, commonly known as “cancerwort” or “fluellins”, and is navite to Türkiye and Europe. There are 10 species in the world and 4 species (8 taxa) in Türkiye.
