Scientific Description:
Slender trailing saxatile perennials. Leaves long-petiolate, usually opposite below, alternate above, lamina cordate-orbicular to reniform, subentire to 3−7-lobed, venation palmate. Flowers borne singly in leaf axils, long-pedicelled. Calyx deeply divided into ± unequal lobes. Corolla lilac or white, spurred; androecium and capsule as in Linaria Mill., or capsule apparently indehiscent. Seeds ± numerous, variously alveolate, ridged or winged.

Cymbalaria, commonly known as “Kenilworth-ivy”, is native to Türkiye and southern Europe. There are 10 species in the world and 3 species (3 taxa) in Türkiye. They are herbaceous perennial plants with lilac or white flowers.
