Scientific Description:

Erect or decumbent annual, 10−20 cm. Leaflets 0.4−1.2(−1.5) cm, lower obovate, upper long-cuneate, truncate or retuse, not glaucous. Inflorescence 0.6−0.8 cm diam., globose, expanding in fruit, 8−15-flowered, usually involucrate. Calyx inflated in fruit, glabrescent to lanate. Corolla pink, 3−6 mm, resupinate.

 

Flowering time: February−April.

Habitat: Grassy places, macchie, open ground, s.l.−1000 m.

Public Description:

Trifolium tomentosum var. tomentosum, commonly known as “woolly clover”, is native to South Europe, Türkiye, West Syria, Cyprus, Egypt and North Iran. It is an annual plant with pink flowers, and grows up to 20 cm in length. It blooms between February and April and is found in grassy places, macchie and open ground.
