Scientific Description:
Distinguished from Lathyrus vernus (L.) Bernh. by its acute (scarcely acuminate) leaflets, broadly ovate-acuminate to suborbicular-acuminate stipules, smaller (10−14 mm), more numerous flowers ((6−)10−30), and gland-dotted legumes.
Flowering time: May−June
Habitat: Abies L. and Fagus L. forests, grazed land, 600−950 m.

Public Description:
Lathyrus venetus, common name “ebem burçağı” (in Turkish), is distributed in Corsica, Italy, the Balkans, Türkiye, Middle Europe, Middle and South Russia. It is a very loose growing low herbaceous perennial plant with with small purple-pink flowers. It can be seen in flower between May and Jun in forest and grazed land.
